ABOUT ME
Nathan Castiglione is a Gold Coast, Queensland based landscape photographer. The GC is home to some of the worlds most beautiful beaches and offers a range of National Parks filled with stunning waterfalls to explore right in its backyard. The diversity between beaches to mountains the area has to offer is what he has a passion for.

Born in Ayr, North Queensland, home to Australia's largest sugarcane industry. His ancestors moved to Australia from Italy after WWII as the Italians were renowned for their farming skills. The small country town was mostly populated with Italians and Greeks and still a small population of Aboriginals remain.
Coming from a football (soccer) background Nathan developed a passion for the sport at the age of 5. He had a lot of natural talent and potential to go a long way in making a career. He had no interest in anything else, spent everyday day training hard to fulfill his dreams.

At the age of 15 he moved to the Gold Coast to further pursue his career and have a greater chance at his dreams. Come age 20, Nathan developed a hernia which impacted his performance on the field. Surgery was the only option to fix the injury. After recovering he attempted to play in the next season, however his body wasn't ready. More injuries arose making him enable to perform at the level needed, after that he made the decision to stop playing. During his time off a passion for hobby quickly took shape.

In 2018, Nathan bought his first camera, the Canon 77D. It wasn't a year before the camera was laid to bed because of his growing fascination for capturing water movement at the beach (flow). His next purchase of the Canon 800D allowed him to keep learning and developing skills as a photographer. In 2020 he moved over to full frame mirrorless, the Canon EOS R5 to take his photography dream to the next level.

Nathan is a completely self taught photographer who continually strives to improve and learn new skills. Exploring from the beaches to the rainforests capturing those memories to share with the world has become his passion.
